All posters were made in class together, so that students feel ownership of the materials and tend to use them more often

An LCD timer shines on the blank poster on the wall via overhead projector. This will help the students pace themselves properly.

More posters will be put up along the windows.

I even managed to fit in material below the blackboard, although it is duplicated elsewhere for those students who can't see it.

 

This is my classroom after a fresh coat of paint and tons of new stuff generously donated by some generous NY teachers and my 'second' boss, my mother-in-law.  My wife made curtains for the windows, which adds a nice touch of home.  www.donorschoose.org has helped provide me with over $7,000 worth of supplies, as well.
